A Brief History
- In 1893 a printing company was formed in Chicago. During World War II the firm started to do die-cutting of convoluted rubber diaphragms for aircraft and allied equipment.
- In 1960 the company moved to Johnson City, Tennessee in search of a better labor/sales climate.
- In 1969 another move was made to the currently existing plant site in Elizabethton, Tennessee where we die cut nonmetallic gaskets for both OEM and aftermarket companies. We have our own in-house die shop which allows us the capability to make a brand new die and submit samples in a very timely fashion.
- In 1999 we achieved our ISO 9002-1994 certification. We are currently certified to ISO 9001-2000 standards. Our quality policy is “Blue Ridge Fabricators, Inc. is committed to ensuring that our products meet or exceed our customer’s design and material specifications”.
